After a lacklustre start to the season which was marred by injury and loss of form, Dodge's season seems to have suddenly exploded to life.
With a campaign spluttering as recent as two weeks ago, the team have now chalked up 3 wins in 4 races. Furthermore, only one has been from star rider Ian Defley, with Ronald Peavy and Eldon Mallard grabbing maiden victories against strong opposition.
Mallard's win last night was all the more unexpected as he had never placed anywhere near the top 10, won any prizemoney or OCM points to this point. Signed as a 22 year old last season, Mallard was very much the baby of the team.
Team Manager Scott Woodhouse was at a loss to explain the team's meteoric rise of late, "We've just been doing the same things we've always done. You could say that Defley's stepped up a gear, but you've also got wins and results from Peavy, Mallard and the rest. Maybe were finally getting some luck. Maybe the tide has turned."
